When moving home, whether around the corner or interstate, one of the most important things to remember is to adequately insure your belongings whilst in transit, and if being placed into storage.  The majority of household contents insurance policies to not cover goods whilst in transit, or only provide very basic cover.  Please check this with your insurer.

Transit insurance can be arranged by Gormans Removals through Suncorp Metway Insurance Limited, and provides you with complete peace of mind.

Gormans Removals offer two types of transit insurance - BASIC and COMPREHENSIVE.

To explain them briefly, BASIC covers damage to your goods if the vehicle carrying your belongings is in an accident.  It also covers theft and non-delivery.  COMPREHENSIVE covers the foregoing as well as accidental breakage, marking, denting, scratching, chipping and chafing.

Storage insurance can also be arranged with the price quoted dependent on the period of time in store and the value of goods held.

All clients taking out insurance cover will be issued with a Suncorp Insurance certificate and a Product Disclosure Statement.
